During the Glenville High School Alumni
Association Business Meeting in June, 2007, Jessie Huff, Treasurer of the
Scholarship Funds, reported that an anonymous contributor had put a
-Scholarship Challenge to the membership to raise $4000 by October 31, 2007,
then he/she would donate $4000 extra dollars. Jessie Huff reported on
November 4, 2007 that $5533 had been given by Glenville High School
graduates and friends and that the Scholarship Funds would be $9533 richer
due to the contributions of many and the anonymous contributor.
The GHSAA officers are proud to thank those
many, many people who helped to meet the worthy goal of providing
scholarships to Glenville and Gilmer County area students.
